Big news: new ISTRO website!
- Published: 09 November 2018 09 November 2018
November 15th, 2018 - After a long period of service, the old ISTRO website has been replaced by a brand new version.
The old website was built using a HTML editor, while the new website is built and maintained using the Joomla Content Management System (CMS). The website now meets the latest internet security standards and is much easier to maintain. Joomla is a modern CMS that is kept up-to-date with the latest internet developments and that is regularly updated.
A big advantage of the new website is that it can be viewed on various 'platforms': PC screen, laptop, tablet and smartphone. The new website is equipped with a modern, structured download facility and has the possibility to 'log in' for registered users to make information provision possible for ISTRO-only (registered) members.
It is being investigated whether it is feasible to have the working groups make their content themselves, in a separate section of the website in the future.
With the move to Joomla, the ISTRO organization is assured of a modern website for the coming years.
